Most mobile Web browsing is on Apple devices

Most mobile browsing is happening using Apple's iOS operating system, according to a report from NetMarketShare.

While Android may have a large lead in terms of how many mobile devices have the Google Inc.?

That is what the latest report from NetMarketShare appears to show, with Apple's mobile operating system accounting for 52.1 percent of the mobile traffic in December.

Android had a 16.2 percent share and Java ME had 21.27 percent, with Symbian accounting for 5.76 percent and Blackberry 3.51 percent.

Both Apple's and Google's share hit peaks in October, with IOS at 61.5 percent and Android at 18.86 percent, in before declining in each of the next two months.

Apple's iPad and iPhone nearly evenly split how much traffic they accounted for in December, with about 25 percent each.
